Optime*Trick
This is a trick and routine I developed while piddling around with one of the most known and exposed tricks in the history of magic. I realized long ago that, while many people might know how to work one particular trick... that doesn't mean they know how the trick works! (You may have to read that last part a couple of times to catch the deep meaning of that truth.)
Because of that, I started playing around with well known tricks, taking them out of their most common element and most common presentation to see if I could breathe new life into them. Optime*Trick is a unique variation of a well known trick that worked so well that Bruce Kalver, 2008-2009 President of the Society of American magicians asked to be the producer of the final product. It is a magical routine that is quite simple yet fools many who call themselves magicians and who actually know the original trick from which it is derived!
A volunteer thinks of any letter of the alphabet. The Spectator is shown 5 eye charts and the magician is able to announce what letter they were thinking of... without ever looking at the Eye Charts! 5 minutes to learn, 15 minutes to master.

Six Card Mental Trick
This is another variation of the same common, well known trick, only this time allowing you to have the spectator think of a playing card. Using only 6 cards you will be able to "mentally divine" their chosen card. This variation requires a little more mental preparation but nobody will ever figure out how you are doing it. When I tried this out in a hospital play room, the parents went bonkers. I must have done it 8 times in a row, and they still wanted more!
